Labour Short At Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 5. A shortage of waterside labour and the resultant slow turnaround of shipping in Auckland was likely to last another three weeks, industry spokesmen said.
About 350 men were needed this morning. Five ships were anchored in the stream waiting for berths.
