CAR HITS BRIDGE
Man Seriously Injured
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Dec. 28.
Terry Batchelor, aged 23, of 97 St. James avenue, Papanui, is in a serious condition in the Greymouth Hospital with a fractured jaw and other head injuries and lacerations suffered in an accident at South Beach late last night. Mr Batchelor was driving alone towards Greymouth when the car ran head on into the side of a bridge. The car was torn almost in two.
