RADIO RELAY STATION
Stronger U.K. Guard (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) FRANCISTOWN (Bechuanaland), Dec. 27. More British troops are expected to be flown to Francistown to guard the recentlybuilt British radio relay station there beaming broadcasts to Rhodesia.
At present, the station is guarded by 95 troops flown secretly to Francistown on Friday from Swaziland, 400 miles away. Earlier it was reported that a platoon of 35 British troops had been flown to Francistown from Aden.
The troops are reported to be confined to the site of the station, which will beam 8.8. C. broadcasts previously carried by the Rhodesian Broadcasting Corporation. They were dropped when Rhodesia seized independence early in November.
Non-cereal Recipes.—To reduce consumption of scarce wheat and rice, the Indian Food Ministry is mailing pamphlets telling Indians how to prepare non-cereal dishes.
