Five teen-agers huddled round a glowing brazier in snow yesterday at the end of a three-day Christmas fast to “force the reality of the world’s starving millions” on the attention of Aberdonians. The four boys and a girl, who had lived on hot orangeade and tea without milk or sugar, said they raised £4O for the War-On-Want Organisation by their vigil.
