Killed By Wire Rope
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 22. A boy was killed in a logging accident in rugged bush country about 30 miles south of Te Kuiti this morning. He was Patrick Michael Joseph Shiv, nan, aged 12, son of Mr and Mrs B. J. Shivnan, of 8 Duke street, Te Kuiti. The boy was standing on a bank watching a log being hauled, when the wire rope slipped. It whipped back and struck him.
