Premiums Rise To £B.lm

Revenue from fire insurance premiums rose to £B.lm in 1964-65 from a figure of £7.5m the previous year. Expenditure on claims reached £2.7m, compared pared with £2.5m in 1963-64. Corresponding figures for the previous year were £23.4m and £15.1m. The percentage of claims paid to premiums received rose from 62.8 in 1963-64 to 63.3 in 1964-65.
