AMBULANCE WORK

Lyttelton Assn. During the year 509 persons had been transported in the sub-centre’s three ambulances, the chairman of the Lyttelton St. John Ambulance Association (Mr W. S. Tredennick) said in his annual report. The ambulances had been in attendance at all public gatherings whenever called on. The sub-centre had now settled in its new rooms, although there was still a lot to be done. The rooms were being gradually furnished and equipped as funds allowed. The sub-centre’s appeal for donations had exceeded all expectations, and on behalf of the association he would like to thank the public for its generous response, Mr Tredinnick said. Officers elected were: president, Mr W. S. Tredinnick; vice-presidents. Messrs F. Barrett and W. Dean; secretary, Mrs Wright: treasurer, Mrs G. Boyd; committee members, Mesdames Driscoll, Norris and Baines, and Messrs E. Schneider, J. Baines, and E. Camfield.
