Goal-Keeper To Lead
The goal-keeper, B. Monk, will captain the Canterbury water polo team in its match against New Zealand Universities on January 1. The team, announced by the selector and coach, Mr P. MacFarlane, is: Monk, M. Scott, P. Hatchwell, L. Mclntosh, L. Scott, R. Erickson, M. McGirr, B. McNeilage. The universities team will be drawn from the following players:—B. Crowder, C. Newth, W. Williamson, I. Gunthorp, D. Kilpatrick, B. Spear, K. Thornton, M. Hay, M. Kirby, T. Sorenson, J. Palmer, D. Smythe, S. McKenzie.
