HALF-YEAR FOR FEA
Profits May Be Down (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. Operating profit of Fea Concrete Industries. Gorebased concrete products manufacturer, has been affected by a substantial increase in depreciation, and directors believe profits for the year to March 31 will not be as favourable as last year. Because of weather, sales of farmers’ pre-cast concrete products, particularly fence posts, declined in the halfyear to September 30, according to the interim report. Ready-mixed concrete from the Gore plant showed a substantial improvement and over-all turn-over tor this subsidiary was ahead of the comparable period for last year. Transit Mixed Concrete showed a modest decline on the comparable period of last year.
