AIRWORK INTERIM
Profit Before Tax Is Lower Unaudited pre-tax profit of Airwork (N.Z.), Christchurch aerial topdressers and air waft engineers, for the halfyear to September 30 was £10,200, against £21,047 in the same six months last year. Turnover was down in the first half of the year, but sales of new aircraft will be higher in the second six months and bookings for aerial work are higher than at this time last year. It is expected that profits for the second sax months will be higher than for the first half-year, the chairman (Mr C. H. Brazier) says in his interim report. Interim dividends. as already announced, are 3 per cent on preference shares and 4 per cent ordinary. Directors expect to maintain the dividend rate on ordinary capital to be lifted by a proposed one-tor-four bonus issue.
