AUCKLAND, Dec. 19. A 1935 Waitangi Crown fetched a New Zealand record price of £320 at a crowded auction in Auckland. Although this is toe highest price a Waitangi Crown has brought In New Zealand, they have made up to £440 in London. A private purchaser from London is known to

have bought a Waitangi proof set in Auckland yesterday morning for £425. At the auction a rare 1930 Australian penny sold for £125, which is 30,000 times its original face value. A George VI 1937 coronation proof set of 15 coins fetched £27 10s and a New Zealand Elizabeth II proof set of eight coins sold for £3l.
