Bledisloe Cup Final
The Canterbury Chess Club looks likely to retain the national Bledieloe Cup. In the final match of the series, played by telegraph on Saturday between Canterbury and the Dominion Road Cheas Club. Auck land, only three games of the 13 were flniehed, but Canterbury seems sot to win at least eight points. The unfinished games will be adjudicated. L. Esterman. the Canterbury club champion, drew with the national champion, O. Sarapa, on board 1 after a Benonl coun-ter-gamblt opening. On board 7 R. T. Bator, of Canterbury, beat J. Alpar, while on board 12 Canterbury had another suecess. j. Hughes heating J. MacKinder.
