BRASS BAND CONTEST
Entries For Dunedin Thirty-two entries - have been received for the national brass band championships to be held in Dunedin from May 19 to 24 next year. The entries, announced by the national secretary of the Brass Bands Association (Mr G. R. Mowat), are:— ■ A Grade.—Onslow Brass, Timaru Municipal, Roslyn Mills Kaikorai, Woolstdn Brass, Derry’s Brass, Wanganui Garrison, St Kilda Municipal,
Waitemata Silver, Palmerston North City Silver. B Grade.—Addington Workshops, Lower Hutt Municipal, Oamaru Garrison, Invercargill Garrison, Hamilton Citixens, Wellington Metropolitan Fire Brigade, New Plymouth City, Te Awamutu Municipal, Blenheim Municipal, Christchurch Fire Brigade. C Grade.—Woolston Auxiliary, Tauranga Fire Brigade, Levin Municipal. Ashburton Silver, City of Rotorua Municipal, . Dunedin City Silver, Wellington Waterside Silver. D Grade.—Balclutha Brass, Waimate Silver, Fort Chalmers Mar ne, Dunedin Ladies’ Brass, New Brighton Silver, Kaiapoi Brass.
