Indonesians Shot Dead (.V Z P.A -Reuter—Copyright) DJAKARTA, December 16. Three senior military officers who took part in Indonesia’s unsuccessful coup were .shot dead in a dash with Government troops on Tuesday. The army commander. Major-General Suharto, said that only one rebel senior military officer was now still at large. He was BrigadierGeneral Supardjo. deputy commander of the army strategic forces and was in Central Java. Government troops attacked the hiding place—at the foot of the Merapt volcano in Central Java—of Colonel Suhennan. Colonel Marjono and Major Sukirman. Colonel Suherman had been chief of staff of the Central Java Command. Colonel Marjono was his deputy and Major Sukirman a battalion commander.
