Momentary Chaos
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyrlpht? NEW YORK, Dec. 17. The French film star, Brigitte Bardot, yesterday arrived for her first visit to the United States and caused momentary chaos at Kennedy airport. Lorry drivers, photographers and reporters crashed through barricades set up by police, who had considerable difficulty getting Miss Bardot to the room where the press conference was to be held. Miss Bardot came to the United States to attend the New York premiere of her film, “Viva Maria." At the press conference, Miss Bardot, wearing a tightfitting, raspberry-coloured wool dress, climbed on to a platform while flash bulbs popped. She answered questions through an Interpreter, who could not always be heard.
Asked If she wanted to get married again. Miss Bardot replied: “No. I have no interest in getting married again. “I just want to be myself,” she said. Asked, “What is yourself?” Miss Bardot said, “Look,” and took a deep breath.
