A team of New Zealand athletes was likely to be invited to compete in East Germany next year, according to Dr, Manfred Reiss, manager of the East German athlete, Jurgen May. He said it was likely that East Germany, Jugoslavia. Poland, and Czechoslovakia would combine for a visit by this team in the coming track season. Dr. Reiss mentioned J. L. Davies, W. D. Baillie, B. Rose, and D. Sirl and K. McDell as possible team members. May and Dr. Reiss left last night after their successful two-week tour, during which May won two mile races in 3min 53.8 sec and 3min 54.1 sec.
