Driver Killed
The driver of a car was killed when it hit a pole in Riccarton avenue about 1.45 a.m. yesterday. He was Brian Thomas Burtt, aged 19, a workman, of 6 Weka street. Mr Burtt was taken to the Christchurch Hospital in a St. John ambulance but was dead when the ambulance arrived there. Mr Burtt was the only person in the car. Any person who saw the accident is asked to get in touch with the motor accident inquiry office at the Christchurch Central Police Station.
