Police Officers Entertained

Chief Superintendent A. C. B. Wade and Detective Inspector W. E. Hollinshead were bidden farewell at a function arranged by the Christchurch Police Social Club last evening. Mr Wade, who has just returned from a senior police officers’ administration course in Sydney, was head of the Christchurch C. 1.8. He has been appointed officer-in-charge of the Hamilton Police District.

Mr Hollinshead is being transferred to become head of the C. 1.8. in Dunedin. Detective Chief Inspector F. A. Gordon, of Dunedin, who has also been on an administration course in Australia, will become head of the Christchurch C. 1.8.
