SECOND WIN

World Tour This Time "The Pre„" Special Service MORRINSVILLE, Nov. 1. Mrs J. G. Bates, of Morrinsville, has done ft again. In September she won a twoweek expenses-paid holiday to Surfers’ Paradise in Australia and now she has won a 62-day cruise round the world. As Mrs Bates’s husband is in Japan at present she has not yet made final plans for the trip. She may complete the cruise in 62 days or take up to two years to cover the whole tour.

Both trips were won in a series of crossword puzzles. “Quite apart from the profits (she has won consolation prizes since last March), the competitions have provided me with a useful hobby for a long time,” Mrs Bates said. She reached the short list of three finalists for the world trip before sailing for Surfers’ Paradise with her mother, Mis A. Dix.
