Fastest Round
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Twelve Matamata golfers intend to claim a world speed record for 18 holes. At their club’s closing day on Saturday, they played the 6002-yard course in 17min 27sec. This bettered the record of 19min 57.65ec set by 12 players at Riverwood, Sydney, earlier this year. The Matamata group did the round in 100 strokes. The Australian group took 84.
