High Standard ' Praised

Tb. Christchurch Tap Dancing Association held competitions during the week-end. The judge, Miss L. Day, praised the high standard of dancing. Results were:— Novice.—Under eight: Jocelyn Cooke 1, Keryn McKibben 2. Sandra Leen 3. Eight and under 10: Christine Sunbeam 1, Lyn Bromley 2, Gail Newell 3. Ten and over: Lois Neilson 1, Julie Downing 2, Gloria Grieve 3. Tap Solo.—Eight and under 10: Brenda Park 1, Judith Leen 2, Mirianne Jemmett 3. Twelve and over: Betina Bradley 1, Christine McQueen 2, Fay Mclntosh and Gavin Douglas (equal) 3. Song And Dance Solo.—Under eight: Glenys Vine 1, Anne Paterson 2, Peter Fitzgerald 3. Ten and under 12: Michael O'Connor 1, Brenda Price 2, Julie Downing 3. Twelve and over: Betina Bradley 1, Gavin Douglas 2, Fay Mclntosh and Christine McQueen (equal) 3.
