VIETNAM PROTEST

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, October 26. Forty-seven persons arrested on Friday during a city demonstration against Australian troops’ involvement in the Vietnam war pleaded not guilty to all charges yesterday.

They were all remanded in Central Court of Petty Sessions. The hearing of the charges is expected to last several days. The charges included obstruction, taking part in an unauthorised procession, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. Two barristers. Mr M. R. Einfeid and Mr J. F. Staples, said each case would be defended separately. More than 400 persons took part in last Friday's noisy demonstrations.
