Rhodesia
Sir, —I protest most strongly at the arrest in Salisbury, Rhodesia, of Mr Garfield Todd. Ibis barbarous incident is symptomatic of the kind of police State which is forming under the leadership of Mr lan Smith, and it is quite apparent why he wants “independence.” The method by which Mr Garfield Todd was arrested and is confined to his residence reminds one very strongly of Dr. Verwoerd. Can it be, one wonders, that there will soon be a union between Rhodesia and South Africa?—Yours, etc.,
A. WALKER, October 19, 1965.
