FORESTRY AWARDS

Winners Will Study Overseas (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 17. Four scholarships worth £l2OO each have been awarded through a fund left by Sir David Henry, chairman of New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd. The winners are Mr R. R. Huston, a graduate mechanical engineer who works for New Zealand Forest Products at Kinleith. He will use his scholarship to study how computers control pulp and paper mills in North America. Mr J. A. Kininmonth, of the Forest Research Institute, Rotorua, will extend his knowledge of timber drying plants in North America and Britain with his scholarship. Mr P. J. McKelvey, of Wellington, will look at milt-use management in North American forests and Dr. T. M. Mor risen, of Lincoln College, Canterbury, will study minerals in plants in the United States.
