DOUBLE AT ORARI.—TOP: The Wingatui stayer Calvados is under a good hold and going easily two lengths ahead of Opportunity at the finish of the Claude Stock Memorial Handicap, first leg of the double at Orari on Saturday. Fieldmaster (No. 1) was third and Windvale Lass (white blaze) fourth. Marlow and Sir Athol (rails) dead-heated for fifth. BOTTOM: Bold Venture winning the second leg, the Stewards’ Handicap, by half a length from Fairlane. There were half-heads then to Cranbrook and Status Symbol (white bridle). Yankinville (outside) was a head away fifth, just beating Gold View, obscured on rails. The rest of the field, Deladana, Vitamise, and General Gilbert, are also in the picture.
