£490 Stolen From Car
Three cash bags, containing £490, were stolen from a car parked outside the State Theatre in Gloucester street about 9.50 p.m. on Saturday. The proprietor of a number of sweet shops attached to theatres, who owned the money, was absent from his car for only a few minutes. The car was locked, and the money was taken by a person who reached through the small swivel window at the front of the side window Half the money was in notes and half in coins.
