(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) WASHINGTON, Oct. 17. United States combat deaths in Vietnam reached 838 last week with the identification of 50 more servicemen killed in action. Seven of the week’s losses were Marines, while 43 were from the Army. The Army has now lost 504 men in combat and the Marines 201. Air Force combat deaths stand at 98, with the Navy total at 53. In addition to the combat deaths, 339 American servicemen have died in Vietnam in accidents and from other causes not due to hostile action.
