Superannuitants

Sir, —No wonder the Prime Minister would not comment on “Square Thread’s” irrational letter. Nowadays, superannuation is augmented by universal superannuation, and that increases in proportion to wage increases. In Britain under a Labour Government there is no universal superannuation, only the pension at £4, minimum age 65, means test up to 70 years. If “Square Thread” is a “lowerpaid superannuitant” he is better off than anyone else of his class in the Englishspeaking world. He should realise that money does not grow on trees.—Yours, etc, DON’T KILL THE GOOSE. October 16, 1965.
