Commissioner ‘Naturalised’

The president of the South Island Publicity Association (Mr H. P. Smith) on Friday presented certificates of “naturalisation to the South Island (only)” to the retiring Australian High Commissioner to New Zealand (Dr. D. A. Cameron) and Mrs Cameron.

The ceremony took place in the office of the Australian Trade Commissioner in the South Island (Mr M. G. B. Coultas). Dr. and Mrs Cameron were also given a variety of S.I.PA. publications in a folder. Dr. Cameron said: “I am proud to be an honorary South Islander.” Mrs Cameron said: **l fee] very complimented.”
