COMING DAY EARLIER
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The touring United States Davis Cup tennis squad will now arrive in Auckland on Sunday, October 24, a day earlier than expected. They will compete in specially-arranged exhibition matches at Stanley street courts on Labour Day afternoon.
The chairman of the Auckland Tennis Association, Mr N. Barclay, said yesterday: “They had’obviously forgotten to allow a day for cross/ Ing the international date line.”
