Lake Daniels Road?
Sir, —In reading the letter about the proposed road into Lake Daniels I was wholeheartedly in agreement with the writer. I have myself walked through the same bush and have never enjoyed the scenery so much, for it is untouched by man. The proposed road would ruin what small virgin forest we still have; if a walk-way was made the tourist would sooner enjoy the walk rather than sit in a car. It is to be hoped that those concerned will have second thoughts in this matter and take a lead in keeping something truly New Zealand the way it is, for our generations and future generations to enjoy.—Yours, etc., X BUSHMAN.
