REBUILDING TO BEGIN

Damaged Roof Of Prison (N.Z. Prexs Association! AUCKLAND, Sept. 20. The rebuilding of the Auckland Prison roof, which was damaged by fire during the riot two months ago, will begin this week.

Steel roof trusses, now being fabricated in Auckland, will be lifted in sections by a crane within the main prison wall.

The re-roofing work will start in the chapel area, above the main administration offices. The Ministry of Works is expected to choose later this week the type of fire-proof material which will be used for the roof covering.
