Deportation Ordered

AUCKLAND, September 16. Mr J. R. Drummond, S.M., today ordered the deportation of Lafaele Taualafai, aged 23, a welder. Taualafai pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court, Auckland, to a charge of remaining in New Zealand beyond the period for which his permit was granted. Mr G. V. Hubble, representing the Department of Labour, said that Taualafai, a Western Samoan, entered New Zealand in July, 1963. under a false name. Taualafai, who came on a three-month permit, could not be found by the department Mr Drummond ordered that Taualafai remain in custody until he was deported.
