Flown To Hospital

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 3. An 11-year-old boy suffering from tetanus is in Auckland Hospital after an emergency flight from Whakatane this evening. He is Gordon Stretch, the son of Mr and Mrs G. R. Stretch, of 10 Dommett street, Kawerau. His condition was described late tonight as fairly satisfactory. A Rotorua Aero Club instructor, Mr J. Munro, who flew Gordon to Auckland, had to get special permission to land at Ardmore after dark. An Electra flare-path installed at the airfield six months ago was used to guide him.
