Institute Of Medical Photographers

Mr K. A. Donaldson, chief medical photographer at the Christchurch Hospital, has been elected first president of the newly-formed New Zealand Institute of Medical Photographers. There are 30 members from hospitals all over the country. The aims of the institute are to improve the standard of medical photography, institute examinations for trainees and members, correspond and meet to ensure participation in the advancement of new methods and ideas, to publish a newsletter, to negotiate with the Health Department and hospital boards, and to affiliate with similar bodies overseas.

Mr A. Fraser, of the Auckland Hospital, is the secretarytreasurer, and the committee members are Messrs M. Litherland (Auckland Hospital), S. E. Brooks (Princess Margaret Hospital), K, Hamblyn (Palmerston North Hospital), and Mr R. Sparke (Wellington Hospital). Mr R. Hart (Green Lane Hospital) is the journal editor.
