Slip Blocks Tunnel
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. Tons of earth loosened by recent heavy rain partially blocked the city end of the Seatoun tunnel about 10 o’clock tonight. Fearing further falls police dosed the road to all traffic. Wellington City Council workmen had been laying foundations to guard against slips in the area.
