Secretary To Retire

Mr C. M. Sloane, who has been secretary at Sunnyside Hospital for the last eight years, will retire next Monday after 41 years with the mental health division of the Department of IJealth.

Mr Sloane has been a hospital secretary for 30 years—first at Seaview Hospital on the West Coast, then at Tokanui Hospital in the North Island, and, before he went to Sunnyside, at Seacliff Hospital, Otago. Mr F. A. Hutton, of Dunedin, has been appointed his successor.

The staff at Sunnyside are planning a farewell function for Mr Sloane on Monday afternoon.
