TRAINING SCHOOL

Occupational Therapy

The possible establishment of an occupational therapy training school in Christchurch will be discussed next month between Dr. L. McH Berry, the medical superin-tendent-in-chief of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, and the principal of the New Zealand School of Occupational Therapy, Auckland, a representative of the Occupational Therapy Board and a representative of the Health Department. The school has asked the board’s opinion on the establishment of a subsidiary training school in Christchurch for third and fourth-term students. The board has agreed to the proposal in principle. Dr. Berry said yesterday that he had already discussed the idea with Dr. T. E. Hall, the medical superintendent of Sunnyside Hospital, and his chief occupational therapist.
