THIS IMPROVISED OVEN at Burnham Military Camp is one of several used in a demonstration of emergency feeding and the lay-out of a reception camp. It is, shown being inspected by some of the women who have been attending a course on civil defence welfare at Lincoln College. The oven shown consists of two 40-gallon drums (one for cooking and the other for heating water) encased in brick and earth.
