Revived After 85 Minutes

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Aug. 15. A 61-year-old woman was apparently dead for about six minutes yesterday. She collapsed in a Riverton hotel at 10 a.m. and a doctor was immediately summoned. He applied external heart massage and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation alternatively to the dead woman until another doctor arrived about 25 minutes later. They worked together on the patient. However, it was about 45 minutes before the woman showed a flicker of life, and 85 minutes before she could be moved to Riverton Hospital where she was reported to be in a fair condition tonight.
