LOCATION MONEY
P.S.A. Seeks Allowance (N.Z. Freis Association) WELLINGTON, August 12. The Public Service Association will press for a location allowance for Public Servants in Wellington and Auckland. This was sought as compensation for the higher costs of living, housing and transport in those centres, the association said today. The decision was made by resolution at its current conference. Another resolution asked that the rents of houses supplied as an incentive to a job and situation at construction projects, power schemes and in isolated areas be abolished.
