WOODFULL DEAD
Collapse On Golf Course fN.Z Press Assn. — Copyright; BRISBANE, Aug. 11. One of Australia’s greatest cricketers. W. M. Woodfull collapsed and died while playing golf this afternoon at Tweed Heads, Northern New South Wales. Woodfull, aged 68, of Victcria, captained Australian cricket teams in 1930, the 1932 “bodyline” series and in 1934. He was on holiday and his wife was in the club house when he collapsed. Woodfull died on the eighteenth fairway while playing in a competition. He retired from first-class cricket in 1934. having a career aggregate of 13,392 runs at an average of 65. He had been principal of Melbourne High School since 1956.
