At Manchester: Lancashire 309/9 dec. and 59/1 beat Essex 184 and 182 by nine wickets. Lancashire 10 points. At Weston-super-Mare: Glamorgan 322'7 dec. and 167/3 (B. Hedges 64, A. Lewis 61 not out) beat Somerset 232 and 253/7 dec. (M. Groves 68, T. Barwell S 4 not out) by seven wickets. Glamorgan 10 points. Religious Lectures.— “ Contemporary God’’ will be the theme of a series of lectures conducted by the Rev. D. J. Inglis in the Trinity Congregational Church. The lectures. which will be held each Thursday at 12.15 p.m., will commence today.
