GAOL TERM INCREASED
Flung Hammer At Car A term of three months’ imprisonment. cumulative on a sentence of 21 months’ imprisonment now being served, was imposed on George John Bryenton, aged 23. a workman, when he appeared for sentence before Mr Justice Wilson in the Supreme Court yesterday on a charge of throwing a hammer at a car on March 28 in a manner likely to endanger the driver’s safety. Bryenton’s counsel (Mr R. L. Kerr) said that many of his offences were of a nuisance nature rather than criminal. He had been unable to make friends with those who had not been in prison, and so his offences had increased by leaps and bounds. His Honour said he agreed there was a lot of good in Bryenton. but there was a lot of bad, too.
Company Dissolved
An order dissolving the Walker Construction Company. Ltd., and releasing the Official Assignee (Mr P. D. Clancy) as official liquidator was made by Mr Justice Wilson in the Supreme Court yesterday. The application was unopposed.
