Life-line Analysis
• More women than men 1 sought help from Life-Line during its first year of service. There were 504 calls from women and 246 from men. Eighty-two of the callers were teen-agers. Three hundred and seventy-nine of the callers sought spiritual and general guidance and a further 129 callers were emotional or psychiatric cases who were ill or depressed. One hundred and forty-one callers sought advice on marriage and family guidance, 31 were alcoholics, 44 were unmarried mothers, and 31 sought financial help. The largest number of calls recorded in any single month was in May of this year when there were 94. and the least was in February when there were 35.
