RESERVE AT CASHMERE
Young Estate Purchase Preliminary details in the purchase of the Young estate land at Cashmere were settled by the Heathcote County Council at a special meeting. The council recently decided to increase its contribution from £4OOO to £6OOO on the £12,000 wanted for the property on condition that residents interested in seeing the land developed as a reserve produced or guaranteed to find £2OOO. The remaining £4OOO will come from Golden Kiwi lottery profits. The council recently received guarantees from the residents’ committee, and is I now taking steps to complete !the transaction.
