TOYS FROM N.Z.

‘Ready Markets In Australia’ (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Aug. 10. New Zealand-made toys were now flowing across the Tasman and into Australian homes after the formation of Lincoln International (Australia) Pty., Ltd., the “Australian Financial Review” said today. Th new company is a subsidiary of Lincoln Industries. Ltd., a major toy-maker, and handles the distribution of the New Zealand-made toys in Australia. The move was made after an extensive market survey in which the company found ready wholesale and retail markets in Australia for its products. Massive television advertising is being used in the drive for Australian sales. Among toys to be exported are dolls, children’s film projectors, plastic construction kits, and remote-control racing cars. An initial production run on one toy alone will mean a £35,000 export order for New Zealand, according to the “Financial Review.”
