fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 3. Trading banks’ savings branches received almost £1.4 million in deposits in their first day of operation in the Canterbury area on Monday, the Bankers’ Association said tonight. The area includes the Nelson and Blenheim districts. Trading banks were excluded from the new trustee bank areas for three years.
