Future Use Of Prison

WELLINGTON, August 3, The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) today had a long discussion on the future use of Auckland Prison with the Deputy-Secretary for Justice (Mr C. L. Cutler), the Director of Prisons (Mr I. J. D. McKay), and Ministry of Works officials. Mr Hanan said later that a report would be compiled which would be submitted to a Cabinet sub-committee which had the power to act.
