SIX PROPERTIES SOLD
A weatherboard house on a section of one rood 5.7 perches at 17 Riccarton road, Riccarton, was sold for £6OOO at public auction On Tuesday. The property was offered on account of the estate of David Webster Donaldson by Mr G. H. Kissell. The house has seven rooms, kitchen and bathroom. The initial bid was £5250, and there were three bids of £250. Mr Kissell also sold three shops and three self-contained flats at 13 Riccarton road for £9300. The shops and flats, which were offered on account of Mr A. C. K. Ford, are now let at more than £l3OO a year. The opening bid was £BOOO. There were four bids of £250, two of £lOO, and two of £5O. A two-storey stone house, converted into two flats, at 82 Springfield road. St. Albans, was sold for £4750. The property was offered on account of the estate of G. L. GledhiTl by Mr Denys Chapman. Outbuildings on the section of 40 perches include a garage. and a shed. Offered on account of the estate of Mrs E. M. Mill by Mr R. G. Bell, a house at 9 Onslow street. St. Albans, was sold for £2lOO. The house, on a section of 20 perches, has a lounge, liv-ing-room, three bedrooms, kitchenette, bathroom and laundry. Sydenham House A square house on a section of just under a quarter of an acre at 252 Brougham street, Sydenham, was sold for £1750. The auctioneer was Mr RaySimes, acting on account of: the estate of F. M. McClure. The house has four bedrooms, lounge, dining-room, kitchen, and bathroom. The late Mr C. C. Davis’s house at 53a Hackthorne road, Cashmere, has been sold by private treaty by W. E. Simes and Co. The property was passed in at £9500 when offered at auction recently.
